He’s excited to be back at the beach and mountains after two years covering the unpredictable weather of the Midwest in Des Moines, Iowa. During his time in Des Moines, he was awarded an Upper Midwest Regional Emmy Award for “Iowa’s Forces of Nature,” a half-hour severe weather program, and a Regional Murrow Award for his five-part series “Madison County Strong,” which honored the one-year anniversary of the Winterset EF4 tornado.
When Dave isn’t watching the sky or his golf ball (hopefully) going into the hole, he’s either at the gym or the Triangle sampling all the delicious food, especially Carolina BBQ, or he’s firing up the grill at home.
