Shelby and Brody were born in Huntsville, but Jason and his family had to return to Birmingham at Children’s of Alabama due to Brody’s critical health difficulties.

In order to contribute to the Pediatric and Congenital Heart Center of Alabama at Children’s of Alabama, Jason and Lacey, along with three other North Alabama families who met as a result of their experience at Children’s, came together to create a fundraiser. It is called Castin’ ‘N’ Catchin’, and through 2022, they raised close to a million dollars to back heart research and care at the hospital here in Birmingham.

Jason left the TV industry in 2021 to work as an engineer for a defense firm in Huntsville. However, he and his household are thrilled to be returning to WVTM 13 and Central Alabama!
