Strehl’s career dates back to his fifth grade when the weather legend Harry Volkman from Chicago came to Mark’s church to be the keynote speaker. He felt that Harry was the smartest guy and had the best career, and from then onwards, all his focus was to be like Volkman.
At the age of 16, Mark got his first job at a local radio station before joining KMTR-TV as the Chief Meteorologist in 1985. He worked there for two years and switched to WRGB-TV as their meteorologist. In addition, he also worked as the meteorologist for WCCO-TV in Minneapolis (three years), KGAN-TV (two years), WYOU-TV (two years), and WISN-TV in Milwaukee where he was the Chief Meteorologist for four and a half years. Currently, Mark is the FOX 32 Good Day Chicago Meteorologist in Chicago, Illinois.
