Ehrenberg began his weather forecasting career at ION Weather in 1989 which is firmly involved with weather consultation. Later, he worked at the National Weather Service in Miami in 1994. Ehrenberg worked at WPBF-TV in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida as a Broadcast Meteorologist for three years. He was the weekday evening and morning meteorologist hence preparing and presenting weather shows for on-air broadcasts.
In addition, he participates in the community by visiting schools and giving talks on hurricane preparedness. Besides, he also came up with and created new weather graphics for the weather team and gave live broadcasts on severe weather and community entertainment events among other duties.
Michael later joined WPEC-TV in West Palm Beach as a meteorologist in June 1999.
