David Nussbaum Career
Nussbaum joined the CBS 42 Storm Team in January of 2021 as the morning and noon meteorologist. On his way to CBS 42, Nussbaum did an internship at WPXI-TV in his hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Shortly thereafter, he became the morning weatherman for WSEE-TV in Erie, Pennsylvania. He then moved to South Louisiana and worked morning and afternoon weather forecasting for WBRZ-TV in Baton Rouge for 10 years.
In 2008 Nussbaum won the Louisiana Associated Press Best Weather Report Award. 2014, Dave took an Interstate 10 trip to New Orleans, where he was the morning weatherman for WWL-TV for almost 7 years. 2015 he again received the award for the fastest time. Needless to say, Dave has weathered some of southern Louisiana’s worst hurricanes, from Katrina to Gustav, and the insane 2020 hurricane season. Nussbaum was awarded the prestigious Seal of Approval by the American Meteorological Society. He is a member of the National Weather Association, the American Meteorological Society, and Eagle Scout.
