In January 2012, Xavier landed his first on-air job at KTWO TV in Casper, Wyoming. There, he served as the evening anchor, producer, and fill-in weather and sports anchor.

In 2013, the Wyoming Association of Broadcasters named him “Reporter of the Year.” Additionally, he finished second in Dancing with the Stars of Casper. In June 2015, Xavier joined WCNC-TV as an anchor and multimedia journalist in Charlotte, North Carolina. After that, he moved to Houston, Texas, and was hired as an anchor and reporter at KHOU 11.
