Padilla began her career in journalism as an intern at WBBM-TV. Fortunately, she later got a job working in a radio station as an anchor before joining Shadow Traffic as a traffic editor. In addition, she has also worked at WFTV in Orlando, Florida, and WMAQ Channel 5 in Chicago.
