In addition, she later joined the University of Wisconsin, Madison, to advance her general studies before enrolling at Columbia College Chicago where she earned a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism. Padilla began her career in journalism as an intern at WBBM-TV. Fortunately, she later got a job working in a radio station as an anchor before joining Shadow Traffic as a traffic editor. In addition, she has also worked at WFTV in Orlando, Florida, and WMAQ Channel 5 in Chicago.
She worked as the commencement speaker at Northwestern College in 2013 after being considered the best to inspire graduates as they celebrated their own personal accomplishments. In addition, Anita covered the election of Barack Obama even before he became America’s President.
