During her tenure there, She anchored First at Four on Fox 32 Chicago and reported on news throughout the city and suburbs. Schulze was born in the western suburbs and raised in Central Illinois.
Schulze started her journalism career while still at the University of Illinois. She co-produced a half-hour documentary that aired on local PBS stations. In addition, she also assisted in teaching an introduction to a broadcast writing course and a documentary production course. In October 1993, she joined WICD-TV where she worked as a general assignment reporter for seven months before moving to WCIA-TV as the weekend anchor.
Schulze also worked in several other stations like WDEF-TV as the weeknight anchor for three years and KIRO-TV as the weekend anchor and Eastside Bureau Chief for three and a half years. She joined WESH-TV in August 2004 as a weekend anchor/reporter before being promoted to weekday morning anchor in September 2005, a post she held until Feb 2008.
She then decided to give her career a break and concentrated on raising her two children with her husband. However, in September 2016, she returned to TV news at Fox 32 Chicago, at first working behind the scenes and writing news stories before being promoted to the weekend morning news anchor and reporter.
