She joined the KDKA team in Pittsburgh in October 2021 and is thrilled to be back in her hometown since she grew up watching this station. Prior to joining KDKA, she served at KOKH-TV in Oklahoma City where she covered the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, Erika dug into the city’s homeless population and dilapidated county jail. Further, she covered the aftermath of devastating tornadoes and floods and was sent to cover Hurricane Sally in Florida in 2020.

She also did various research on the growing epidemic of opioids and covered major court cases including Jerry Sandusky.
Erika began her broadcasting career in 2014 in Youngstown, Ohio, at WFMJ as a morning reporter. Whenever off duty, Stanish enjoys outdoor activities like boating, golfing, skiing, and relaxing by a fire with family and friends.
