Lynne worked as a field producer for the station’s “Evening Magazine” program. Additionally, she created “Weekend Magazine” in 1981, and also produced a program entitled “Vibrations” not forgetting the way she directed a variety of commercial efforts. Lynne began a five-year stint in 1985 as the producer of KDKA’s Annual Children’s Hospital Free Care Fund Telethon. Therefore, she was named Director of Community Programs due to the result of those efforts until her move to the news department.

Hayes-Freeland actively participates as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Lynne oftenly is involved in a variety of community service work including volunteering time on several local Boards. Her excellent work has been recognized by organizations both locally and nationally.
