Further, Ray has forecasted weather from Parkersburg, West Virginia, to Erie, Pennsylvania, and also is no stranger to the Pittsburgh region’s micro-climates and lake effect snow. He keeps saying that he slid into Pittsburgh on a lake effect snow band and never left!
Petelin is an approved meteorologist with the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association seals. His father is also a meteorologist and hence he calls Meteorology the “family business”. Ray loves brewing beer, hiking, napping, and fishing with a weather obsession. He always spends quality time with his wife and daughter whenever off duty. His family enjoys the company of their cat and two rescue dogs and hence spends a lot of time outside as well as exploring different parks and places in Western PA.
