Ron Smiley is an American weather forecaster at KDKA where he serves as the station’s morning meteorologist since June 2015 in Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania. Ron has hence successfully given a local and hopefully bright outlook on the day. Prior to joining the KDKA team, Smiley worked in Mississippi and Arkansas. His love for weather spiked at a young age as he would hang out in the garden talking to clouds with his neighbor Mr. Mike who was an employee at the National Weather Service.

This makes him state that he can take anything that life can throw at him considering he grew up under a drill sergeant’s roof.
Ron loves to cook and explore with his family as well as run especially on a Saturday morning for a good cause. He also spends his off-duty hanging with his family at a local park or museum. Ron is fun playing basketball and riding bikes, even though he admits the challenges with Pennsylvania hills. He also loves Katy Perry rocks.
